Stephanie M. has extensive experience in legal advocacy and community support, particularly for Aboriginal communities. Since June 2008, Stephanie has served at Legal Aid BC, initially as an Intake Legal Assistant and subsequently as an Aboriginal Community Legal Worker, advocating for parents involved with Delegated Agencies regarding child welfare. Previous roles include Information and Referral Specialist at BC211, where Stephanie handled various provincial call center lines, and Executive Administrative Assistant at the Vancouver Police and Native Liaison Society, providing critical support to victims of crime. As Executive Director of the Gitxsan Youth Movement from 1998 to 2000, Stephanie developed and managed a youth program focused on cultural re-connection. Stephanie's education includes studies in Indigenous Government from The Institute of Indigenous Government and further courses at Native Education College and Northwest Community College.
