Angela Cook

Team Chief, Attorney In The Children's Attorneys Project (cap) at Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada

Angela Cook has a diverse work experience, primarily focusing on the legal field. Angela started their career in 2006 as a Student Intern at the U.S. Probation Office. In 2012, they served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Michael L. Douglas at the Nevada Supreme Court, followed by a role as a Legal Extern in the Domestic Violence Unit at the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada.

In 2013, Angela became a Student Attorney in the Family Justice Clinic at the Thomas & Mack Legal Clinic. During the same year, they also worked as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Sandra L. Pomrenze at the Eighth Judicial District Court.

Angela joined the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada again in 2015, this time as an Associate Attorney in the Children's Attorneys Project (CAP). Angela later became the Team Chief for the same project in February 2021.

Throughout their career, Angela has gained valuable experience and skills in various legal roles, contributing to their expertise in the field.

Angela Cook's education history begins in 2002 when they enrolled at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Criminal Justice in 2006. Angela continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Criminal Justice from 2006 to 2008. Later, from 2009 to 2013, Angela attended the William S. Boyd School of Law, also at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, where they earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
