Benna Crawford serves as the Director of the Children & Families Practice Group at Legal Aid Chicago, a position held since July 2019. Prior to this role, Benna held several positions at LAF from November 2010 to July 2019, including Supervisory Attorney, Senior Staff Attorney, VISTA Attorney, and Volunteer Attorney. Legal experience also includes law clerk positions at Chicago Kent College of Law's Family Law Clinic and the Pro Se Divorce Clinic at the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago, along with a student volunteer role at the Coordinated Advice and Referral Program for Legal Services and a law clerk position at the Cook County Office of the Public Guardian. Benna holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science from the University of Illinois.
