Catherine Cone serves as the Legal Director of the Housing and Consumer Justice Program at the Legal Aid Justice Center since September 2023. Previously, Catherine Cone was the Supervising Counsel at the Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs from January 2015 to August 2023, managing a docket of federal and state cases related to fair housing and tenants' rights while conducting community training. Catherine Cone's early career includes roles as Counsel and Staff Attorney for the Fair Housing Project and a law clerk to the Honorable Anna Blackburne-Rigsby at the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Catherine Cone's legal experience also encompasses internships with the American Federation of Government Employees, Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll PLLC, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, and the International Center for Transitional Justice. Catherine Cone holds a Juris Doctor from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and English from Duke University.
