Director Information Technology at Legal Aid Justice Center

Chris Florez is an experienced professional in the field of education and technology, currently serving as the Director of Information Technology at the Legal Aid Justice Center since February 2021. Prior to this role, Chris worked as the Program Director at Computers4Kids and The Clubhouse@C4K from January 2018 to October 2019, focusing on empowering low-income youth through technology and mentoring. Chris has also held significant positions at Aspire Public Schools as Assistant Principal of Math & Science and Manager of Digital Learning, and previously taught K-8 Technology and Social Studies at Seattle Public Schools. Early career experience includes roles as a Technology Specialist at the Center on Reinventing Public Education and a Web Information Specialist at the Small Schools Project. Chris Florez holds a Master's Degree in Science with a focus on Educational Technology from Boise State University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Western Washington University.
