Melissa Skilliter

Melissa Skilliter is an experienced attorney currently serving as the Managing Attorney for Intake and Tax at Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio since June 2021. In addition, Skilliter has held the position of Low Income Taxpayer Clinic Director at Southeastern Ohio Legal Services since January 2017, after serving as Pro Bono Coordinator/LITC Director and Staff Attorney from March 2005 to November 2016. Skilliter began their legal career as a summer intern at Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. in 2003, focusing on legal research. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Bowling Green State University.
