Maria Deray

Maria Deray has diverse work experience spanning various industries. Maria has most recently worked as a Support Worker at Legal Aid Ontario since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Retail Sales Representative at Goodwill Industries International from September 2020 to August 2021. Maria also has experience as a Customer Service Representative (SSW-Intake Worker) at North Peel Dufferin Community Legal Services from January 2021 to June 2021.

Maria has also worked as a Retail/Production Store Associate and Customer Service Representative at Talize from March 2016 to October 2019. Before that, they served as a Team Member/Counter Staff at Tim Hortons from August 2013 to February 2016.

Additionally, Maria has experience as a Childcare Provider and Support in a private setting from March 2003 to July 2013. Maria has also worked as a Mathematics Teacher at Solana Fresh Water Fishery School, Philippines from June 2001 to November 2002, and as an Enumerator at the Community-Based Forest Regeneration Project, Isabela State University from March 2000 to November 2000.

Maria Deray completed their education in a chronological manner. Maria first attended Isabela State University from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Secondary Education with a focus on Secondary Education and Teaching.

Later, from 2019 to 2021, Maria attended Sheridan College, where they earned a degree in Social Service Work with a specialization in Family and Community Services.

Additionally, Maria has acquired several certifications throughout their career. In April 2022, they obtained the "Verified International Academic Qualifications" from World Education Services. In March 2020, they received a "Certificate of Completion - Business Etiquette: Workplace Etiquette" from SmartSign. In January 2020, they obtained a "Certificate of Achievement - Positive Spaces - Serving LGBTQIA+ Immigrants and Refugees" from the Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI). In December 2019, they acquired a "Certificate of Achievement - Creating Inclusive Spaces for Immigrants and Refugees with In/Visible Disabilities," also from OCASI.

Maria also obtained the "Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET)" from the Board for Professional Teachers, Professional Regulation Commission Republic of the Philippines in December 1998. Furthermore, they have completed additional trainings such as "Addiction 101" and "Mental Health 101" from CAMH (exact completion dates are unspecified). Maria has also completed "Wellness and Resilience for Frontline Workers and Managers," but the completion date is not provided.
