Maria Deray has diverse work experience spanning various industries. Maria has most recently worked as a Support Worker at Legal Aid Ontario since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Retail Sales Representative at Goodwill Industries International from September 2020 to August 2021. Maria also has experience as a Customer Service Representative (SSW-Intake Worker) at North Peel Dufferin Community Legal Services from January 2021 to June 2021.

In December 2019, they acquired a "Certificate of Achievement - Creating Inclusive Spaces for Immigrants and Refugees with In/Visible Disabilities," also from OCASI.

Maria also obtained the "Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET)" from the Board for Professional Teachers, Professional Regulation Commission Republic of the Philippines in December 1998. Furthermore, they have completed additional trainings such as "Addiction 101" and "Mental Health 101" from CAMH (exact completion dates are unspecified). Maria has also completed "Wellness and Resilience for Frontline Workers and Managers," but the completion date is not provided.
