Legal Council for Health Justice
We use the power of the law to secure dignity, opportunity, and well-being for people facing illness or disability. The agency, which merged three of the nation’s leading medical-legal partnership (MLP) programs to build a Midwestern hub of medical-legal program and policy development, is renowned for its expertise across complex intersections of disability benefits, health care services, education, employment, and other publicly-funded supports at the federal, state, and local levels. In 2015 we changed our name from AIDS Legal Council of Chicago to LEGAL COUNCIL FOR HEALTH JUSTICE.
