Emily Meltzer

Emily Meltzer is a seasoned professional in development and communications, currently serving as the Director of Development & Communications at Legal Counsel for Youth and Children since May 2021. Previously, Emily held the role of Development Director at Building Changes, where significant achievements included co-leading a fundraising effort that raised over $4 million for the Washington State Student and Youth Homelessness COVID-19 Response Fund and executing the organization's first virtual fundraising event. With a background as the Director of Development and Communications at Y Social Impact Center, Emily successfully implemented a rebranding strategy and launched a signature benefit dinner that increased attendance and fundraising significantly. Earlier experience includes roles as Capital Campaign Coordinator at Food Lifeline and Development Associate at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle, where important contributions to major fundraising campaigns and donor engagement strategies were made. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Vermont.
