Supervising Attorney at Legal Counsel for Youth and Children

Naomi Strand is a legal professional with extensive experience in various legal roles focused on youth, children, immigration, and community advocacy. Currently serving as the Supervising Attorney at Legal Counsel for Youth and Children since January 2017, Naomi previously held positions as Executive Director and Attorney at Northwest Community Legal Advocates, and as a Criminal Defense/Civil Rights Attorney providing pro bono services. Earlier roles include Immigration Attorney at Cavazos & Espinosa, PLLC, and Community Outreach Specialist at Solid Ground, where outreach programs and training workshops were developed. Naomi has also worked as a Benefits Attorney and served in various capacities at Seattle Community Law Center, advocating for marginalized individuals in matters related to Social Security and federal disability benefits. Naomi holds a Juris Doctor degree from Seattle University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Religion from Oberlin College.
