George Lewis

George Lewis is an Independent Non-Executive Director at Legal & General. George has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Legal & General, they were with the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, where they served as a member of the board of directors and chair of the audit and risk committee. George has also held positions at AOG, Enbridge Income Fund, and Ontario Power Generation. George Lewis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA).

George Lewis has a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University, an ICD.D from the Institute of Corporate Directors, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, a CFA from The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts, and an FCA/FCPA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. George also has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto - University of Trinity College and is currently pursuing a Global Fellowship in Journalism at the Munk School of International Relations, University of Toronto.
