Kody Mills has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Kody began their career in 2007 as a Field Training Manager - Contractor at Maximums Security, where they trained personnel in equipment use and firearm protocols. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as the Manager of Fugitive Recovery at Michael Nivens Bail Bonds, providing testimony in court and obtaining evidence from crime scenes. In 2014, they joined Pyrrias Consulting Ltd UK as the VP of Operations US, where they recommended ways for customers to improve production and ensured accurate materials lists and delivery schedules. Kody then joined Concealed Coalition, Inc. in 2020 as a Team Trainer, managing a team of instructors and administrators across multiple states and coordinating firearm classes. In 2022, they became the Chief Executive Officer at Aapex Manufacturing LLC, leading contracts to completion and forging new partnerships. Alongside their other roles, Kody also owned Mills Consulting LLC since 2018, providing consulting services to businesses in the military, law enforcement, and aerospace industries. Currently, they are employed at TS Enterprises LLC as the Regional Manager - Central, where they build corporate relationships with big box stores and oversees 80 stores across 18 states.

Kody Mills completed their education at Sonoran Desert Institute from 2016 to 2018, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Firearms Technology. Prior to that, they attended John F. Hodge from 2004 to 2007 and earned a High School Diploma in General Studies. In addition to their educational background, Kody Mills obtained certifications such as Pepper ball Instr./ Less lethal i.e. OCS, Bean Bag, Baton) from PepperBall in February 2013.
