Torben Gerkensmeyer

Torben Gerkensmeyer is the current Software Engineering Lead at Legal OS. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Talea.de from February 2018 to July 2019. From June 2013 to October 2015, they were a Research Associate at the University of Bremen, where they led the research project "weOrient" funded by the Federal Ministry for Research and Education. In May 2012 to November 2012, they were a Visiting Researcher at the University at Buffalo (UB), conducting empirical research on Virtual Reality, Spatial Cognition, Spatial Representations, and bio-inspired architectures. From November 2015 to December 2018, they were Co-Founder / CTO of nuu Text & Data Analytics GmbH. From May 2010 to June 2013, they were a PhD Student / Full Scholarship at the International Research Training Group "Semantic Integration of Geospatial Information". From January 2005 to May 2010, they were a Student assistant at Prof. Dr. Kerstin Schill's Cognitive Neuroinformatics lab at the University of Bremen.

Torben Gerkensmeyer has a Diplom in Informatik from the University of Bremen and Allgemeine Hochschulreife from Immanuel-Kant-Gymnasium Bad Oeynhausen.
