Ashyra Corpening

Ashyra Corpening is currently serving as a Staff Attorney at Legal Aid of North Carolina since April 2024, following a legal internship at the same organization from June to August 2023. Prior experience includes a role as a Legal Resident at Kontoor Brands, Inc. from March to June 2023, and an Academic Teaching Fellow at Elon University School of Law from August 2022 to June 2023. Additionally, Ashyra completed a legal internship at Triad Legal Group, Inc. during the summer of 2022. Ashyra holds a Juris Doctorate from Elon University School of Law, earned in 2023, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from Campbell University, obtained in May 2021.
