Matt Brown

Matt Brown has a strong background in the banking industry with various leadership roles. Matt is currently serving as the East Regional President and EVP at Legend Bank, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to that, they were the President of Sherman at Legend Bank starting in July 2017. Before joining Legend Bank, Matt worked at First United Bank as the Vice President of Commercial Lending from November 2016 to July 2017. Matt also served as the Vice President of Commercial Lending at American Bank of Texas from March 2014 to November 2016. Matt's extensive experience includes working at Guaranty Bond Bank, where they held the positions of President of Commerce from April 2011 to February 2014 and Vice President from August 2003 to April 2011.

Matt Brown received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Administration from Austin College, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Matt then pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General at the University of North Texas, completing it from 2005 to 2009. In 2013, Matt attended the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking, focusing on Banking, and simultaneously attended The Wharton School to study Wharton Leadership in Business/Corporate Communications. Additionally, in 2013, they participated in TBA MDP Class VI. Matt completed their secondary education at Sulphur Springs High School, where they studied from 1994 to 1999.
