Michael Ionescu

Michael Ionescu is a seasoned lawyer and patent agent currently practicing at ROBIC since September 2022. With prior experience as a Legal Associate at Brouillette Legal, the focus included drafting patent applications across various sectors, including medical equipment and the lumber industry, as well as developing patent filing strategies. Michael's role as Vice President and Legal Counsel at Montrose Foods Inc. involved negotiating commercial contracts, trademark licensing agreements, and corporate risk management, alongside formulating business practices. Additional expertise was gained as an Associate at Smart & Biggar/Fetherstonhaugh, where patent applications related to aerospace and software were drafted, and as an Articling Student at Ridout & Maybee LLP, where research and preparation on intellectual property matters took place. Michael holds a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University.
