Bruce Ralston

Bruce Ralston, KC, has served as the Minister of Forests and has held multiple ministerial roles within the Government of British Columbia since July 2017. Ralston has been an MLA for Surrey-Whalley from 2005 to the present, where involvement included serving as the Official Opposition spokesperson on various issues and chairing the Legislature’s Select Standing Committee on Public Accounts from 2009 to 2017. Prior to political roles, Ralston was a lawyer and held positions such as Chairman of the Board for Vancity and City Council Member for Surrey. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Laws from Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC, a Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of British Columbia, and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Cambridge. Ralston has been a member of The Law Society of British Columbia since 2006 and was called to the bar in 1982.
