Janessa Derksen

Janessa Derksen (Syrenne) is an experienced professional currently serving as a Constituency Advisor for the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia since March 2022. Additionally, Janessa holds the position of Vice Chair at Community Futures North Fraser since September 2020. Previously, Janessa was the Executive Director at the Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce from November 2018 to April 2022 and also served as the Manager of Business Services, where responsibilities included managing accounts payable/receivables, deposits, and budgets, as well as overseeing daily office operations. Janessa has experience in the hospitality sector, having worked as a Senior Manager at Cactus Club Cafe and as a Business Partner in a front-of-house role. Janessa began a career in the Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce as a Marketing Assistant before being promoted to Membership Engagement and Events Marketing Coordinator. Janessa received education from the University of Phoenix and the University of the Fraser Valley.
