Gearoid Collins

Gearoid Collins has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Gearoid started their career as the CEO of TheiPhoneFella.com, where they provided free support for iOS users. Gearoid then worked as a private tutor, providing tuition on web development to students at University College Cork and the University of Limerick.

Collins also worked as a UX Designer/Developer at Grinds Centre, where they redesigned the platform and improved SEO. Gearoid later joined Collins.ie as a developer, designing and building websites for various clients.

In 2013, Collins became a Software Developer at Carma, where they oversaw the online presence of the company and completed a full redesign and development of CarmaCarpool.com and GoCarma.

Gearoid then worked as a Software Engineer at Citi, leading the client-side conversion of a large scale jQuery application to AngularJS. Later, at CarTrawler, they served as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on performance enhancements and reducing initial render times.

Collins also gained managerial experience at SurveyMonkey, where they worked as a Software Engineering Manager, overseeing the International Growth team.

Currently, Collins is a co-founder and CTO at LegitFit, a position they have held since 2017. Overall, they have demonstrated expertise in software engineering, web development, UX design, and management throughout their career.

Gearoid Collins attended Techstars in 2021, where they focused on studying S21. Prior to that, they also attended Midleton College, although the specific years and field of study are unknown.
