Daniel Vega Oropeza has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Daniel started their career at Tetra Pak as an External Consultant in 2002. In 2003, they joined Bticino de México as a Project Manager, where they managed new products, production lines, and new technologies. Daniel then took on the role of Methods Manager, coordinating continuous improvement efforts and coordinating productivity actions. In 2008, they became the Senior Engineering Manager at Bticino de México, managing projects, process engineering, lean manufacturing, health, safety, and ecology. In 2015, Daniel joined Legrand as the Production Manager, responsible for production output and key performance indicators. Daniel later became the Operations, Process Engineering Manager, and Lean Manufacturing Officer, in charge of creating the Mid-term Industrial Plan and controlling KPIs. Currently, Daniel is the Head of Operations at Legrand Australia, overseeing operations and controlling various aspects such as production performance and expenses.

Daniel Vega Oropeza has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, obtained between 1996 and 2001. Daniel also holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Manufacturing Management from Linköping University, completed from 2001 to 2003. Daniel attained an Associate's degree in Business Management from IPADE Business School from 2009 to 2010. Additionally, they participated in the Shingo Prize Lean Manufacturing Study tour to Japan at Utah State University - Jon M. Huntsman School of Business in 2010. Moreover, Daniel obtained a certification in Industry 4.0 Internet of Things from the University of Sydney in 2021.
