Bryan Urakawa

Bryan Urakawa has over 20 years of experience in the software development industry. Bryan began their career in 1997 as a Software Tester at ST Labs, Inc./Data Dimensions, Inc. In 1999, they joined Microsoft as a Senior Software Test Engineer and Senior Software Tester/Sr. Test Lead. In 2006, they became a Test Manager/Test Lead at Expedia. In 2007, they were a Software Test Lead/Test Engineer/Test Manager at SecondSpace/Datasphere. From 2009 to 2013, they were a Sr. Software Quality Assurance Manager and DevOps Manager at Alere Wellbeing. From 2013 to 2019, they were a Sr. QA Manager; Development and DevOps Manager and Sr. Software Quality Assurance Manager & DevOps Manager at Quadient, formerly Satori Software. In 2019, they worked as a Consultant in roles such as Sr. Software QA Manager, DevOps Manager, Project Manager, and TPM. From 2020 to 2022, they were a DevOps Lead at Legwork and is currently a DevOps Lead at Planet DDS.

Bryan Urakawa obtained a BS in Computer Science from the University of Washington. Bryan also holds a Certified Kubernetes Application Developer certification from the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) obtained in January 2023, a Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification from the American Software Testing Qualifications Board obtained in February 2018, and a Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org obtained in November 2013.
