Andreas Fery's work experience includes serving as the Head of the Institute for Physical Chemistry and Polymer Physics at the Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden since 2015 and as the Chair for Physical Chemistry of Polymeric Materials at TU Dresden since 2015. Prior to these roles, they were a Professor (chair Physical Chemistry II) at the University of Bayreuth from 2008 to 2015, where they also served as the Managing Director of the Bayreuth Center of Colloids and Interfaces from 2009 to 2013. Andreas was a Group Leader at the Max-Planck Institute for Colloids from 2001 to 2007 and a Postdoctoral Fellow at both the Institut Curie and the Max-Planck Institute for Colloids in 2000.
Andreas Fery pursued their education in the field of physics. Between 1990 and 1996, they attended the University of Konstanz, where they completed their Diplom degree in physics. Later, from 1996 to 2000, they enrolled at the University of Potsdam to further their studies in condensed matter physics. During this time, they obtained their Dr. rer. nat. degree in physics.
