Elisa Kanaki

Elisa Kanaki is an accomplished professional with a robust background in chemistry and research spanning multiple prestigious institutions. Currently serving as a Data Steward at HAWK - University of Applied Science and Arts since February 2024, Elisa previously held the position of Research Associate at Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden, focusing on the automation of microplastics analysis utilizing FTIR and Raman spectroscopy from August 2019 to December 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden, conducting archaeometric investigations and project coordination, as well as research positions at Freie Universität Berlin, where Elisa specialized in quantum chemical investigations and supervised undergraduates. The academic journey culminated in a Dr. rer. nat. in Theoretical Chemistry, following a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Freie Universität Berlin.
