Himanshu P. Patel

Himanshu P. Patel is a researcher at the Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden since March 2019, specializing in 3D particle tracking and the development of model concrete that mimics the properties of real concrete. This role involves object tracking to analyze flow behavior in dense suspensions, setting up experimental setups, and conducting laser sheet imaging and rheology analysis on various Non-Newtonian materials. Previously, Himanshu worked as a Student Research Assistant at the Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research, focusing on mechanical characterization of 2D polymer materials, and at Fraunhofer IPMS-CNT, where responsibilities included developing a GUI for sample handling and performing materials analysis. Earlier experience as a Junior Engineer at MAKSON MACHINERY PVT. LTD in India included CAD design, technical review, and quality analysis of machinery. Himanshu holds a Master’s Degree in Scientific Instrumentation from Fachhochschule Jena and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jodhpur Institute of Engineering & Technology.
