Marco de Pascale

Marco De Pascale is a scientific researcher at Leibniz-Rechenzentrum since February 2023, following a tenure as a High Performance Computing software engineer and DevOps engineer at CINECA from March 2021 to February 2023. Previously, Marco held a postdoctoral position at INAF - Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica, where contributions included designing and developing control software for the SHARK-NIR instrument at the Large Binocular Telescope. Marco's academic journey includes a PhD in Astronomy from Università degli Studi di Padova, where research focused on applying machine learning techniques to large astronomical data sets, complemented by experience at the European Southern Observatory and other institutions. Early expertise in machine learning and software implementation for astronomical instruments was developed through various roles at INAF and other organizations.
