Michael Kriegl is a scientist at the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT) GmbH, involved in participatory modeling of social-ecological futures in coastal Peru and social-ecological network modeling of coastal benthic habitats and their users since January 2020. Michael's experience includes roles as a National Park Ranger at National Park Neusiedler See, a researcher and cruise leader at the Thuenen Institute of Baltic Sea Fisheries, and various research assistant positions in marine projects and education. Michael holds an International Master of Science degree in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from both the University of Bremen and Sorbonne University, as well as bachelor's degrees in Biology and Earth Sciences from the University of Vienna.
