Gerson Santos

Gerson Santos is a professional with extensive experience in engineering, particularly in optical toolmaking and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer in Optical Toolmaking at Leica Camera AG since January 2023, Gerson previously held roles such as Technical Support Engineer at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence and Application Engineer in Grinding Technology at Alfred H. Schütte GmbH & Co. KG. Gerson has also gained valuable experience as a Field Service Specialist, intern at the Werkzeugmaschinenlabor and Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology, and as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at both LEPTEN/UFSC and USICON/UFSC. Prior to these roles, Gerson worked as a CNC Machine Operator at Astra Indústria Aeronáutica Ltda and served as a lifeguard at SESI-SP.
