Jan Braun

Jan Braun has extensive experience in software and engineering management, currently serving as the Manager of Software for the Applied team at Leica Microsystems since November 2017, where Jan leads strategic software development and project management for the THUNDER Imaging System. Prior to this role, Jan was an Engineering Manager at Eaton, overseeing the strategic product development for the MOC product line. Jan's career also includes significant positions at Bender GmbH & Co. KG as a Projektleiter, where Jan focused on market analysis and system design, software development at Eckelmann AG involving motion control projects, and hardware/software development at Transferzentrum Mittelhessen. Jan holds an MBA in Business Administration and a Diplom-Ingenieur in Electrical Engineering specializing in Automation Technology from Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen.
