Ibrar Raja has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Ibrar started their career at New College Bromsgrove as a Lecturer in 2011 and later became a Visiting Lecturer at New College. In 2012, they joined Bournville College as an Automotive Lecturer and Course Coordinator before transitioning to the role of Advance Practitioner. In 2015, they moved to Birmingham Metropolitan College, where they served as a Senior Motor Vehicle Lecturer and Coordinator. While at Birmingham Metropolitan College, they also took on the role of Technology Embedded Learning Champion for Engineering, where they received recognition for their innovative online learning platform. In 2017, Ibrar joined Leicester College as a Program Area Manager for Engineering and Motor Vehicle before being promoted to the position of T Level & Program Area Manager. Ibrar then became the Head of Department for Engineering, Motor Vehicle, and T-Levels and is currently the Director of Engineering.

Ibrar Raja has a Bachelor of Engineering Joint Honors (BEng & BSC) degree in Electronic and Software Engineering from the University of Birmingham, which they completed from 2000 to 2004. Ibrar also holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Management & Digital Learning from the University of Wolverhampton, which they completed from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, they have completed various certification programs at different institutions, including Motorcycle Repair and Maintenance at North East Worcestershire College, First Aid at Bournville College, and Heavy Goods Vehicles Repair and Maintenance at North East Worcestershire College. Ibrar also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Further and Higher Education from the University of Wolverhampton from 2011 to 2013. Lastly, they have Level 3 certifications in Vehicle Electronic and Electrical Systems and Light Vehicles-Service & Repair from South Birmingham College.
