Frank Maagdenberg serves as the Vice Chairman of the International Wheelchair Floorball Committee since August 2017, focusing on the global development of wheelchair floorball. Het LUMC is een centrum van medische vernieuwing, dat de patiëntenzorg wil verbeteren door wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Het leidt artsen, gespecialiseerde zorgverleners en onderzoekers op om daaraan bij te dragen. Naast algemene patiëntenzorg biedt het LUMC specialistische behandelingen die slechts in een beperkt aantal medische centra mogen worden uitgevoerd. Het LUMC onderscheidt zich met name als verwijscentrum voor complexe medische vragen waar geen pasklare antwoorden op zijn. Wetenschappers en artsen werken samen aan een beter begrip van ziekten en aan nieuwe behandelmethoden.
