René Preenen

René Preenen currently serves as Head of the Financial Shared Service Centre at Universiteit Leiden, overseeing financial administrative services since September 2024. Previously, René held multiple roles, including Team Lead at Eneco Energy Trade and Business Consultant at Agium Finance & Control, where responsibilities included managing finance transformation projects for clients such as NN Group and ING. With extensive experience spanning nearly three decades, René has successfully led various initiatives in finance management, operational excellence, and project management at companies like ABN AMRO Bank and Cap Gemini. René's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Economic History from Leiden University and certifications in Lean Six Sigma and NLP.
