Tim Lamers has a diverse work experience in various educational institutions and consulting roles. Tim has held positions such as Head of Education Advice & Quality Assurance, Department Manager, and Secretary of the Board at the Universiteit Leiden. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Policy Advisor at Zadkine, one of the largest providers of vocational education and training in the Netherlands. Tim also has experience as a Senior Consultant at KPMG Nederland, where they focused on consultancy activities for universities, universities of applied sciences, and vocational education and training providers. Tim has also worked as a Policy Advisor at the NVAO, where they were involved in planning decision-making on accreditation issues and led a quality assessment project. Additionally, Tim has experience as a staff member and student assistant at Radboud University Nijmegen. In recent years, they have been self-employed, providing consulting services in the field of policy, strategy, quality assurance, and organization of education.
Tim Lamers has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Political Science from Radboud University, which they obtained in 2008. Tim further pursued their education at Radboud University and received a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Political Science in 2009. In 2018, they attended a management program on Change Management at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. In 2019, Tim attended a training program on the Progress-Focused Approach at Centrum Progressiegericht Werken. In 2020, they participated in the Masterclass New Ways of Organizing at Sioo, interuniversitair centrum voor organisatie- en veranderkunde. Additionally, Tim Lamers completed a course on "What future for education?" offered by the University of London & UCL Institute of Education on Coursera in 2017.
