Wendy Versteeg

Wendy Versteeg is a prominent figure in mediation and conflict management, currently serving as a member of the International Advisory Board of the CDRC for the IBA-VIAC Mediation & Negotiation Competition since January 2023. As the owner and MfN-register mediator at WV-mediation since September 2014, Wendy specializes in resolving business and private conflicts, often through court referrals. Wendy has a strong academic presence, teaching Negotiation & Conflict Management at the Honours Academy of Leiden University and offering courses in Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution at the Faculty of Law. Wendy is involved in multiple organizations, including being a founding member and Secretary of the Mutual Gains Network in the Netherlands, which promotes professional training and sustainable conflict resolution. Additionally, Wendy has held various roles in mediation associations and committees, contributing to the field with extensive experience in environmental and legal consulting. Educational achievements include a Ph.D. in Environmental Impact Assessment from Leiden University and a Master's degree in Law with a focus on international and European environmental law.
