Jack O'Brien currently serves as an Athletic Performance Coach and Sports Scientist at Leinster Rugby, a position held since May 2019, where responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and applying GPS and sports science data for the Senior Squad and Coaches. Previously, O'Brien worked as a Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach at Terenure College RFC and completed internships with Dragons Rugby, the Welsh Rugby Union, University College Dublin, and the University of Otago. O'Brien holds a Master's degree in Strength and Conditioning from Cardiff Metropolitan University and a Bachelor's degree in Health & Performance Science from University College Dublin, along with additional studies in Health and Performance Science at the University of Otago and a Leaving Certificate from St Mel's College.
