Virginia Au

Virginia Au has a strong work experience in the investment management industry. Virginia is currently working as the Head of Global Equity at Leith Wheeler Investment Counsel Ltd., a position they have held since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Invesco Canada for 15 years. During their time at Invesco, they held various roles including Lead Portfolio Manager, Portfolio Manager, and Investment Analyst. Virginia was involved in managing award-winning Global Small/Mid Cap Funds and U.S. Small/Mid Cap Funds. Virginia was also a part of the Invesco Women's Network and Management Committee. Before joining Invesco, Virginia worked as a Research Associate at Pembroke Management, where they focused on investments in the Consumer and Healthcare sectors in the U.S. and Canada.

Virginia Au completed their education in the field of finance. In 1999, they earned a bachelor's degree in finance from The University of British Columbia, where they studied until 2003. Virginia then attended Columbia Business School in 2014 for an executive education program on value investing, specifically under the instruction of Professor Bruce Greenwald. Additionally, they obtained certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 2006.
