Wayne Morgan, Ph.D.

Wayne Morgan, Ph.D. has held a variety of roles in the business and venture capital world since 1973. Wayne began their career at Westinghouse Electric Corp., Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in 1973 as a Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory. In 1977, they moved to Black & Veatch as Vice President & Partner. In 2000, they became Chief Information Officer at MRI GLOBAL. In 2004, they joined Netchemia (PeopleAdmin --> PowerSchool) as VP & Chief Operating Officer. From 2010 to the present, they have been an Investor at Mid-America Angels | Fuel VC | Growth Street Partners | Novel Capital | Leawood VC | Plexpod. From 2016 to the present, they have served as Executive Director of Growth Mentoring Service (GMS) and Vice Chairman Board of Directors at the Enterprise Center in Johnson County. Additionally, they have served as Advisory Board Director at JobShakers and iSocial since 2016 and 2019, respectively.

Wayne Morgan, Ph.D. received their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Washburn University. Wayne then went on to pursue a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Analytical Chemistry from Vanderbilt University, before completing a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the same institution. In 2015, they completed the Venture Mentoring Service (VMS) - Outreach Immersion Training from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
