Anne-Celine Jounet has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Anne-Celine started their career as an Assistant Brand Manager in Marketing at Baron Philippe de Rothschild France Distribution in 2001. In 2002, they worked as a Junior Brand Manager for Champagne Henriot at Maison Bouchard Père & Fils.
In 2004, Anne-Celine was a Project Manager for Côtes de Provence AOC Wines at Sopexa USA, followed by a position as an Account Manager for French Wines at Sopexa UK in 2005. Anne-Celine then moved to Drink Works, where they served as a Senior Account Manager from 2005 to 2010.

Supermodel and Activist Liya Kebede was inspired to launch the brand following a trip to her native Ethiopia where she met a group of traditional weavers who no longer had a market for their craft. Meaning to bloom and flourish in the Ethiopian language of Amharic, lemlem is committed to elevating artisanship and expanding production and jobs across Africa. The core collection is handwoven from natural cotton in Ethiopia and lemlem is steadily expanding partnerships with additional artisan groups across Africa.
