Steve Nelson is the VP of Weekly Content & Production at Lemonada Media. Prior to that, they were the Head of Talk at Religion of Sports from September 2021 to March 2022, where they launched APM's Infinite Guest podcast network, attracted existing shows to the network, and coached talent from other media about making their first podcasts. Steve was also the Senior Director of Programming at NPR from August 2016 to August 2021, where they strategically planned and launched new podcasts and radio shows, worked with revenue departments to make individual programs sustainable, managed and mentored podcast talent and producers, and managed relationships with key acquired programs. Prior to that, they were the Director of On Demand Programming at American Public Media from June 2014 to July 2016. Before that, they were the Program Director of Minnesota Public Radio News from November 2002 to June 2014. Steve started their career as an Associate Producer for Studio 360 at WNYC from January 2000 to November 2002.

Steve Nelson's educational career began when they earned their BA in Journalism from the University of Minnesota.

They work with Amber Gerardy-Robinson - MD, Social Media & Digital Strategy, Stephanie Wittels Wachs - CCO, and Maggie Croushore - Director, Partnerships. Their manager is Jessica Cordova Kramer, CEO.
