George Basil

George Basil is a seasoned professional in cybersecurity and software engineering with a robust background spanning various roles in major companies. Currently serving as the Security Engineering Manager at LenelS2 since July 2022, George leads a team responsible for DevSecOps solutions, including automation and incident response. Previously, George spent over eight years at Moosejaw Mountaineering, advancing from Mid-Level eCommerce Developer to Senior Solutions Architect, where key contributions included the implementation of a cybersecurity strategy and CCPA compliance solutions during the launch of their new website on WebSphere Commerce version 9. Earlier in George's career, internships at Ford Motor Company and Moosejaw provided foundational experience in software development and project management. George holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.
