Prior to this role, McLeod served as the Director of Sales at Navtel Canada Limited, where responsibilities included overseeing sales and distribution in the US market for telecommunications test equipment from September 1983 to February 1986. Earlier in McLeod's career, an account executive position was held at IBM Canada Ltd. from 1980 to 1983. McLeod obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Western University from 1976 to 1980 and attended Upper Canada College, graduating in 1976.
