Jessica Butel, Sc.D., is a seasoned professional in product security and information technology, currently serving as Senior Manager of Product Security at Lenovo since September 2022. As a Co-Organizer for ColaSec since October 2017, Jessica contributes to a non-profit dedicated to training and providing industry news to IT and security professionals. In addition, Jessica serves as Principal at Blue Information Security, fostering relationships with various businesses and ensuring compliance with security requirements. Prior roles include Lead Authorization Security Engineer Coordinator and Manager at Cerner Corporation, where Jessica designed system security solutions, and several senior engineering positions focused on security and vulnerability scanning at companies including InterVision Systems, Segra, and General Information Services. Jessica holds a Doctor of Science in Information Technology from Middle Georgia State University and multiple advanced degrees in business and cybersecurity.
