Signe Maria Christensen

Employee-elected board member at Leo Pharma

Signe Maria Christensen has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for over 20 years. Signe started their career as a supervisor at Lundbeck, before moving on to become a scientist at Santaris Pharma. In 2000, they joined Novo Nordisk A/S as an API coordinator, and then moved to NeuroSearch in 2007, where they became CMC coordinator. In 2011, they were elected as an employee-elected board member at Leo Pharma.

Signe Maria Christensen obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Signe then pursued research in organic chemistry at Dyson Perrins Lab at the University of Oxford. In organic synthesis, they worked at Colorado State University. Christensen also holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from DTU. Additionally, they have experience in Board Governance from CBS Executive Fonden and Managing partnerships and strategic alliances from INSEAD.
