Dave Akin

Dave Akin has extensive experience in leadership and business development within the defense and technology sectors, currently serving as Vice President of Platform Systems Integration at Leonardo DRS since April 2010. Akin has successfully led various high-impact roles, including Senior Director of Programs for Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems and Mobile Short Range Air Defense, where significant growth was achieved. Previously at Industrial Acoustics Company, Akin managed product lines for the Department of Defense, and at SecurWireless, established sales and operations for a startup focused on military solutions. Earlier experiences include key roles at L-3 Communications, where Akin led business development achieving substantial revenue growth, and as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Air Force. Akin holds a BS in Geography from the United States Air Force Academy and an MBA in Marketing from Wright State University.
