Ben Wilcox is currently serving as the Lead Systems Engineer at Leonardo since October 2025. Prior to this role, Ben gained extensive experience at Shoal Group Pty Ltd as a System Engineer from March 2020 to November 2025, and held various engineering positions at Leonardo from September 2014 to March 2020, including Principal System Engineer, Systems Engineer, and Graduate Engineer. Earlier career experiences include Summer Placement roles at Selex ES in 2012 and 2013, an internship at RYA Scotland in 2012, and a Summer Research Internship at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2011. Ben holds a Master of Physics in Astrophysics from the University of St Andrews, completed from 2009 to 2014.
