Daniel Burns has been working in the field of IT architecture and engineering for over two decades. Daniel'smost recent role was as Lead Cloud Platform Systems Engineer at Vistra Corp, where they worked with automation tools and integrated them with API's and other programming languages. Prior to that, they were an Infrastructure Tools Automation Architect at the same company, where they focused on architecting and integrating various tools for the enterprise PMO and application testing. Before joining Vistra Corp, Burns owned their own consulting firm called Burns IT Architecture Consulting. Daniel also worked as the Tools Infrastructure/IT DevOps Architect at Energy Future Holdings and as an Enterprise Architect at Copart. Throughout their career, they have gained experience in various areas such as enterprise architecture, network management, and solution design. Burns has a strong background in automation, cloud technologies, and infrastructure architecture.

Daniel Burns has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University-Commerce, which they obtained from 1987 to 1990. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Dallas College, attending from 1984 to 1986. Daniel received their high school diploma from Mesquite High School in 1984. In 2009 to 2010, they pursued MS .Net certifications and Security Cert CompTIA at Tech Skills to update their IT skills in .NET(C#) and other disciplines. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020. Daniel also completed a course called "Successfully Managing People" from the American Management Association.
