Supervisor of Special Services & Certified School Psychologist at LEONIA BOARD OF EDUCATION

Anthony Servis is the current Supervisor of Special Services and Certified School Psychologist at the LEONIA BOARD OF EDUCATION. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for LEONIA PUBLIC SCHOOLS from July 2020 to September 2021. Before that, they were the Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction for the Edgewater School District from March 2018 to June 2020. In this role, they reviewed and analyzed school data to better understand the needs of the district and determine gaps in curriculum. Anthony also wrote federal grants for title funding and analyzed state assessment data. Anthony has a long history of working with various stakeholders throughout the decision making process and conducting observations and evaluations of staff. Anthony is committed to creating an environment that encourages open communication with staff, students, and the community. Anthony has also worked with staff on I&RS committees to provide strategies and support for teachers to create environments for all students to grow. Anthony has experience with state required plans, including pre-school plans and 3-year comprehensive equity plans.

Anthony Servis has a Doctor of Education from Seton Hall University in K-12 Administration, a Master of Education from Seton Hall University in Educational Leadership and Administration, General, and a Bachelor's degree from Seton Hall University in Elementary and Special Education, Public Relations. Anthony is also certified by the NJ Department of Education, Office of Fiscal Accountabilty and Compliance as a School Administrator, Principal, Certificate of Eligibility, Google Certified Educator Level 2, Elementary School Teacher Grades K-5, Supervisor, and Teacher of Students with Disabilities.

They are on a team with Steve Perrotta - Physical Education & Health Supervisor, Eric Thomasevich - Business Administrator & Board Secretary, and Xanthy Karamanos - Assistant Superintendent. Their manager is Edward Bertolini, Superintendent of Schools.
