Fernando Buscema has extensive work experience in the wine industry. Fernando started their career as an Assistant Winemaker at E. V. Bertona Hnos. S. A. in 2000. Fernando then went on to work as a Winemaker and Founder at Bodega Tierra de Dioses from 2003 to 2006. In 2005, they joined Catena Zapata, where they held various roles including Assistant Winemaker, Enology R&D Manager at Catena Institute, and Executive Director at Catena Institute of Wine. Fernando played a significant role in positioning the Catena Institute's team as Top 4 in the world. From 2008 to 2008, they worked as a Visiting Winemaker at Harlan Estate Winery and BOND Winery. In 2012, they joined Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) as a Technical Director, where they supervised viticulture & grape supply, winemaking & operations, and hospitality. Fernando also served as an Advisor to the Board and later became the President at Bodegas CARO. Additionally, they founded Qualab SAS in 2018 and served as the CEO. Since 2016, they have been working as a Professor at Universidad Juan Agustín Maza. Throughout their career, they have gained expertise in winemaking, research, and leadership roles in the wine industry.

Fernando Buscema has a Master's degree in Viticulture & Enology from the University of California, Davis, which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their bachelor's degree in Enology & Fruit Horticultural Industries from Universidad Juan Agustín Maza from 2000 to 2005. In addition, they have obtained a certification in "Decodificando Silicon Valley: cultura, innovación y emprendimiento" from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016.
