Darren Haylett

Darren Haylett has extensive work experience in compliance and internal auditing. Darren began their career as an Internal Audit Intern at KPMG South Africa in January 2010 and worked in various roles within the company until August 2018. During their time at KPMG, they progressed to Senior Internal Auditor, Senior Risk and Control Advisor/Internal Audit Supervisor, and finally Internal Audit Manager.

In 2018, Darren joined Lesaka Technologies Inc. as a Compliance Manager and later became the Group Head of Compliance in May 2023.

Darren Haylett's education history begins with their attendance at Marais Viljoen High School from 2001 to 2005. Darren pursued higher education at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, where they completed a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Internal Auditing from 2006 to 2008. Darren then furthered their studies at the same university and obtained an Honours degree in Internal Auditing with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in 2009.

In addition to their educational background, Darren Haylett also holds a certification called RE1 Regulatory Examination: FSPs and Key Individuals in all Categories of FSPs. Darren obtained this certification from the Financial Sector Conduct Authority in November 2018.
