João Brandão

João Brandão has a strong background in software engineering, with experience in various roles and companies. João is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at 25Friday and LessonUp, where they focus on software development. Previously, they worked at Talkdesk as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for backend engineering, production system analysis, and cross-teams technical alignment. Before that, they held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Capitalise, where they worked on backend development and mentored junior engineers. João also had a role as a Software Engineer at Capitalise, where they focused on API and microservices architecture design. João started their career at Bosch Portugal, where they worked as a Software Engineer, designing and developing software for production equipment monitoring and managing activities. João also had a traineeship experience at Bosch before becoming a software engineer. Earlier in their career, João worked as the head of the Student Worker Department at Associação de Estudantes do ISEP, where they led a team and organized events. João also had a traineeship as a Technical Consultant at InovRetail, where they worked on mobile application development. João has a diverse set of skills and experience in software development, backend engineering, mentorship, and project management.

João Brandão attended Escola Secundária Carolina Michaëlis from 2011 to 2012, where they obtained a High School degree in Science and Technology. João then went on to Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer from 2012 to 2015. João continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer - Telecommunications from 2015 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, João Brandão also obtained several certifications. In March 2017, they received a certification in Laravel 5.X from GALILEU - Especialistas em Formação. In October 2016, they completed a course on Building a Website with Node.js and Express.js, offered by LinkedIn. João also obtained certifications in Agile Software Development with Scrum and HTML5, CSS3 and JS from GALILEU - Especialistas em Formação in March 2018 and September 2018, respectively.
