Lester Schwab Katz & Dwyer

Lester Schwab Katz and Dwyer was established in 1974. We have enjoyed a reputation for the highest quality in litigation matters. Now, in our second generation, we remain true to the ideals that have been the basis of our practice since its formation. From the beginning, we have placed a premium on legal expertise, experience and vision. Many of our attorneys are recognized nationally for their accomplishments and abilities. The firm's partners include some of the nation's foremost trial attorneys and authorities in such areas as: general liability; products liability; insurance; security and transportation. We encourage our attorneys to participate in associations, organizations and committees that enhance their knowledge of their specialty, as well as increase the profile of the firm. Our credentials are impressive, but in handling a defense we do not rely upon legal acumen alone. Since the day we were founded, we have never lost sight of the fact that our clients are also our partners. It is important that we understand each client's strategy for every case we litigate. Based on this understanding, we assess the issues in the case as well the legal tools that are available to us. Then, and only then, can we recommend the most cost-effective way to proceed. Recognition of LSK&D as a leading defense firm comes from the judicial community, our peers, and most importantly, our clients. In an American Lawyer survey conducted with 400 corporate counsel, based upon service, quality and value, LSK&D was selected as one of the top firms in the country. We were the only defense firm in New York City to be given this recognition.
